Me

Currently based in Sydney, I take tech problems and make them disappear. I’ve worked in all manner of IT roles ranging from 1st line support at a server facility in the Czech woodlands to sysadmin, database development and consulting for high end private clients in London and recently at a startup supporting an App store top 100 app. The things I excel at are persistence in finding a resolution, communication across technical and non-technical colleagues and workflow automation. I can also speak near fluent German with a slight Schwäbisch accent.

Having recently moved back to Australia from Europe, I'm looking for new challenges in new areas. I'd love to do something with agricultural tech for example.

In my spare time I like to ride, build and repair motorcycles, play with raspberry pi's and draw.

Provided backend technical support for a top 100 app to teams across 2 geos. I was responsible for fixing issues as they arose (mainly SQL, mongoDB. A bit of JS and golang), triaging and escalating bugs that required dev work and answering tech questions about the app. I delivered a formal ticketing process for support that integrated with the existing slack based "queue" as well as the devs on Jira. Part of this required automation and sync of status changes to tickets and the ability for users to raise jiraSD tickets in slack which we would then link to normal jira tickets for the dev team (This was really cool. I can talk about it for ages)
